SNAPSHOT OF FIRST NASHER PARTNERSHIP - Welcome Mat

February 27, 2017

Location - Nasher Hall

As Maham Khan, Pakistani-American journalist wrote, "The truth is, as a child of immigrants who fled due to religious persecution, I kiss the grounds of America. I love this country. I have always had a sense of security being here--and for the first time I realize it's starting to be a false sense of security."

Through this lens we created a Nasher Hall site-specific piece, titled, "Welcome Mat". Within, we addressed the current indignation and discrimination by this ban by turning Nasher Hall into a meditation and prayer room.
