What is a community space provided by Artstillery? Everything you need it to be!
With our building, 723, in West Dallas we're open for the community. We have a sliding scale for every type of organization. We believe that a theater production, a wedding, or a book club needs a roof over their heads that it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. As an arts non-profit we're focused on growing and supporting other artists and organizations in the Dallas community.
We offer not just space but expertise in lighting, sound and event management at every level for the community. Our professional equipment and personnel can help bring your event to life. We'll help spread the word too on social media.

Have you ever wanted to dip your toe into the water, but have been afraid to jump all the way in? A calling, curiosity, or purpose, that you’ve always known was for you but, you have been too afraid to dive in, and live in the fullness it. Diving into the water is where the adventure begins and life truly starts.
Visceral is an immersive dance performance that will explore taking the plunge and all of the emotions that come with it!
Entrapment, Rage, and Self Doubt -- finding relationship with yourself, to others, and to the world around you.

The final program of the 2022/23 OFF the Beaten Path Performances Series. Blizzard of One features vocalist, educator and actor Richard Oliver. This experience juxtaposes the recitation of Mark Strand’s Blizzard of One with Franz Schubert’s late String Quartet in G Major. Blizzard of One fosters and encourages musical and artistic expression in arts and cultural experiences by presenting a concert program that audience members recognize. The audience will view the program in a different light due to the music program's collaborative spirit between the spoken word and music.
PROGRAM
String Quartet No. 15 in G major - Franz Schubert

“Supporting Our Indigenous Sisters: An International Print Exchange Exhibition“ at Artstillery! This exhibition of 16 women from as far away as New Zealand was co-curated by Professors Melanie Yazzie and Catherine Prose. Eight of the sixteen are indigenous and the other eight are multiethnic allies. Jodi Voice Yellowfish organized a beautiful program which started with a prayer and a ceremonial song and included a poetry reading and of course, loads of good eats!
Director, Ilknur Ozgur was asked by SMU Ignite0 to join the "Down By The Riverside" creation team in March 2022. This journey consisted of 5 artistic leaders coming together for a movement which occured on Riverfront Blvd. in Downtown Dallas leading to the river in West Dallas.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I want to revisit memories of coming from a country, former Yugoslavia, torn by civil war, and later working in Afghanistan as a contractor but not as a direct description of the destruction wars leave behind, rather as a reflection of relations, or contradictions between perceived fragility of human flesh and or spirit in relation to materials associated with strength and endurance, i.e., stones, concrete blocks, bunkers and or sandbags.
